Max Holloway Says The ‘Mini-Blessed’ Era Is In Full Effect

Max Holloway’s son has made fight week a lot easier for his dad.

Tonight (Dec. 8), Holloway will defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight title against Brian Ortega. It’s a title bout between two of the best fighters in their weight class, who also happen to be in the prime of their careers. Holloway has had to deal with questions regarding his health as well as going through the weight cut. While fight week isn’t the easiest thing to deal with, Holloway has been “Blessed” by his son.

Max Holloway Talks “Mini-Blessed”

During an open workout session, Holloway’s son took the time to bust out some dance moves. Holloway spoke to Megan Olivi on “Mini-Blessed” stealing his thunder (via MMAJunkie.com):

“The only thing I’m actually happy with right now is that ‘mini-Blessed’ is not with me. The guy has been stealing my shine all week. At least I get some me time right now. … He’s probably out there. I don’t know where he is. But, hey, stay out there. Stay sitting in your seat. Do not … stop taking my shine. It’s over. It was the Blessed Era. ‘Mini-Blessed’ era is in full effect now. It’s confusing. He’s confusing people right now.”

UFC 231 takes place inside the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko and Joanna Jedrzejczyk will collide for the vacant UFC women’s flyweight title.
