UFC Rankings Report: Adesanya Cracks Top Five At Middleweight

With his recent win over Anderson Silva at UFC 234 in Australia, Israel Adesanya has cracked the middleweight top five in the latest UFC rankings.

We have some UFC rankings updates to pass along after this past weekend’s UFC 234 pay-per-view (PPV) event. Check out the changes here:

Pound for Pound: No changes.

Women’s Strawweight: No changes.

Women’s Flyweight: Montana De La Rosa had a dominant showing against Nadia Kassem in Melbourne. Her second-round submission victory earned her the #11 spot, moving up three positions. (#14) Andrea Lee and (#15) Paige VanZant all dropped down one spot. (#13) Mara Romero Borella dropped down two spots.

Women’s Bantamweight: No changes.

Flyweight: Kai Kara-France’s victory over Raulian Paiva has found him inside the top 15. Kara-France is now ranked #14. (#5) Wilson Reis shot up two spots; and (#7) Alex Perez, (#8) Tim Elliot, (#9) Rogerio Bontorin, (#10) Magomed Bibulatov, and (#13) TJ Dillashaw all moved up one spot. (#11) Eric Shelton moved up two spots.

Bantamweight: Ricky Simon’s victory over Rani Yahya has moved him into the #14 spot. (#15) Peter Yan has dropped one spot as a result.

Featherweight: No changes.

Lightweight: No changes.

Welterweight: No changes.

Middleweight: Isreal Adesanya defeated former middleweight king Anderson Silva via unanimous decision. “Stylebender” now overtakes the #5 spot from (#6) Chris Weidman, who has now been knocked out of the top five.

Light Heavyweight: No changes.

Heavyweight: No changes.
