Alex Pereira’s latest training clip didn’t calm many nerves.
Pereira posted sparring footage with his head coach, Glover Teixeira, on Monday. The two traded heavy shots, and Pereira took several clean right hands. Championship Rounds shared the clip on X.

Fans weren’t shy in the replies. “Genuinely concerned for him,” one wrote, while another predicted, “That’s Pavlovich’s range, bro. He’s cooked.”
Pereira, 39, faces Sergei Pavlovich in the UFC 335 co-main event on Dec. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It will be his second heavyweight fight after a second-round knockout loss to Ciryl Gane in June at UFC Freedom 250.
Pavlovich enters on a three-fight winning streak that includes a 39-second knockout of Tallison Teixeira, who was training with Pereira at the time.
Pereira has already said he may leave heavyweight if the fight goes badly. Of course, it was only sparring with a longtime coach who knows his game better than anyone.
