Joel Faglier Gets Comeback KO in Battle of Unbeatens

In a battle of unbeaten heavyweights who had to battle through fatigue, Joel Faglier gets through adversity and gets his hand raised after finishing Javad Mahjoub at UFC Edmonton.

The two traded strikes from the early portion of the fight, with Mahjoub drawing first blood by dropping Faglier with a one-two. Faglier survived a swarm of strikes but was dropped again, taking multiple combinations and barely surviving the first round.

Mahjoub, however, appeared to gas himself out going for the finish, and Faglier took advantage. After landing several hard punches, Faglier tossed Mahjoub to the canvas and unleashed brutal hammerfists until the ref stopped the bout.

Faglier, now 7-0, was making his UFC debut tonight. He last fought in February, defeating Cody East in Fury FC.
