Josh Hokit Just Strongly Implied His Next UFC Fight Is Almost Done and the Timeline Is Shorter Than Expected

Josh Hokit says he could fight twice more before the end of 2026 and hinted that a deal for his next UFC fight is close to being finalized, while suggesting a title shot could arrive sooner than people expect.

Hokit spoke on The Ariel Helwani Show following his knockout win over Derrick Lewis at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14.

I might even fight two times by the end of the year. I think there’s news on the horizon. Possibly,” he added when asked if he knows his next fight date.

When Helwani pressed for details, Hokit declined to elaborate to avoid jeopardizing the deal.

I don’t wanna pigeonhole myself and mess up some money. There is money on the line on this one.

On the timeline for a potential title shot, Hokit was equally suggestive.

There is a great chance. It might be quicker than people would like.

Hokit is 10-0 as a professional, having beaten Curtis Blaydes in a Fight of the Year contender at UFC 327 in April before stopping Lewis at the White House. His post-fight interview at UFC Freedom 250 drew significant controversy after he made a baseless comment about Michelle Obama, which Dana White and Daniel Cormier publicly condemned.
