Justin Gaethje and Arman Tsarukyan are already at odds over a truck before they have even been formally matched for a title fight, after Gaethje publicly refused to accept the vehicle Tsarukyan had promised following his UFC Freedom 250 win.
Tsarukyan’s friend had placed a $1 million bet on Gaethje to defeat Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250, winning $5.7 million in the process. Tsarukyan publicly offered to buy Gaethje a truck as a gesture of goodwill. Gaethje shot the offer down on The Joe Rogan Experience.
I’m not taking this truck from fcking Arman. There’s absolutely no way I would take a truck. I’m going to have to ride around in a fcking truck that a dude bought for me every day. I don’t know, I just can’t go there. We didn’t shake on it, he does not owe it to me.
Tsarukyan did not take the rejection well, vowing to give the truck to a fan instead before addressing Gaethje directly on Nina Drama’s Kick stream.
Justin is saying, ‘I’m not going to take the car.’ Fck it, we’re not going to give it to him. He doesn’t want it, he doesn’t deserve that. I’m going to fck him up in the fight. I can’t wait. You’re saying you don’t want my truck and you’re not going to drive that, so fck you. Say ‘thank you’ instead of being rude. I give you the truck, we bought the truck, you’re saying ‘I’m not even going to drive it’ — why are you such an asshle? F*ck you, Justin, I can’t wait to whoop your ass.
Gaethje acknowledged Tsarukyan is the rightful next challenger on the same Rogan episode.
He is definitely the guy that’s up for the next title shot, I agree.
