Two and a half years after her last bout in the Octagon, Katlyn Cerminara returned in a big way at UFC Edmonton, running through Mackenzie Stiller.
Stiller came out on the front foot early, landing a series of low kicks and working combinations. Cerminara soon found her range, however, and she started to get going with her jabs and combinations. Cerminara’s defense showed, as she made Stiller miss and followed with solid counterpunches.
Stiller went for a takedown at the end of round one, but Cerminara sprawled and troubled her, landing a number of shots before the referee stepped in to save Stiller, giving Cerminara the win.
Prior to tonight, Cerminara’s last UFC fight came at UFC 299, losing to Maycee Barber. Her most recent victory was a split decision over Amanda Ribas in 2022.
