Cain Velasquez is set to face Travis Browne at UFC 200 in a heavyweight bout. Both fighters have been on the road to promote the fight. The former heavyweight champion has appeared on Fox Sports 1 and other media outlets to promote his bout and UFC 200.
During a media lunch brunch, Velasquez was asked about his thoughts on the Conor McGregor situation and the balance between training and promoting bouts.
“Can I see his side? No not really,” Velasquez said at media day. “I’m doing it. Everybody else is doing it. If he had to do way more than what we had to do, okay then yes.”
Velasquez was once a UFC champion and has done numerous media tours in helping promote his bouts (including Mexico). The AKA-trained fighter also headlined the first ever Fox show for the UFC. This included numerous media obligations in which Velasquez had to take part in.
UFC 200 will feature three title bouts and of course a heavyweight bout between Velasquez and Browne.
