Jon Jones Praises Conor McGregor For Handling Loss “Like A Champion”

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones watched last weekend’s UFC 196, where Conor McGregor suffered his first UFC loss to Nate Diaz. Bones took to Instagram to praise McGregor, saying he “gained even more respect for [McGregor.]”

“I wanted to take a quick second to shout out Conor McGregor for the way he handled defeat last night,” Jones said. “He really handled it like a champion. You know, he took a gamble, fighting anyone, anywhere, a gamble he lost, but in a way he won because he really got to show some great character. So, shout out to you.”

Jones will be making his return to the octagon on April 23rd against Daniel Cormier at UFC 197. You can watch Jones’ video message to McGregor here:
