UFC Middleweight contender Luke Rockhold recently shared his thoughts on the Jon Jones hit-and-run incident, and he had some interesting comments to make.
Rockhold appeared on Submission Radio recently and spoke about the “Bones” Jones situation, pointing out his belief that we won’t be seeing Jones in the Octagon for “quite some time.”
“Oh, it’s just unbelievable,” said Rockhold of the Jones hit-and-run incident. “I’m completely blown away by his actions and what he’s done and I’m just like, it’s hard to really fathom what that whole situation – it’s just, piece by piece it keeps getting worse and worse, and I just don’t understand. The guy’s got the world at his finger tips and he just completely…..I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going through his head.”
Rockhold also expressed his sympathy for the victim of Jones’ automobile accident, a pregnant woman who suffered a broken arm and other injuries.
“You know, obviously I feel for the girl,” said Rockhold.
Rockhold is predicting that with Jones dealing with so much legal trouble, and with the UFC punishing him and saying he’s “out of chances,” that it will likely be a while before fans see him fighting in a cage again.
“Sounds like he’s done for quite some time,” said Rockhold. “Maybe he gets away with it. I don’t know. (Laughs).”
Rockhold concluded, “It wouldn’t surprise me if he did.”
