Bellator MMA Reportedly Contacts Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio About Fighting

Executives from Bellator MMA reportedly contacted former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio last week regarding possibly signing with the company.

Del Rio, who was fired from WWE after a wild behind-the-scenes incident that resulted in him slapping a WWE executive after the employee allegedly made a racist remark about him, has competed in MMA in the past.

Alberto Rodriguez, known as Alberto Del Rio in WWE, competed as Dos Caras Jr. in the past, most notably in a fight at PRIDE Bushido in 2003, where he wore a mask during his fight with Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, and was knocked out by a head kick in just 46 seconds.

There is no word regarding what was said between Bellator and Del Rio, other than the two sides are apparently talking.
