The early odds for Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley are in and it’s the YouTube star who opens as the early favorite.
Fight fans received a bit of a surprise on Memorial Day with the report that Paul vs. Woodley has been agreed to. Mike Coppinger of The Athletic first reported the news. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani followed up with a report stating the fight is slated for Aug. 28.
Taking a look at the odds, courtesy of sportsbetting.ag, Paul is a -160 favorite. Woodley is the underdog at +130. The betting site once had Paul as the -130 favorite but the odds are widening.
At +130, the oddsmakers believe Woodley has a 43 percent chance of winning. With Paul, he has a 61.5 percent chance of winning according to the oddsmakers.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley
Tyron Woodley certainly has more combat sports experience than Jake Paul. He’s had 27 pro MMA bouts, garnering a record of 19-7-1. “The Chosen One” is also a former UFC Welterweight Champion, so he’s competed at the highest levels of MMA.
For some, this all means nothing as Paul has the edge in pro boxing experience. The Internet star is 3-0 as a pro boxer. Those wins came against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, former NBA player Nate Robinson, and former Bellator and ONE Championship titleholder Ben Askren.
There’s also the fact that Woodley has seen better days when it comes to competition. Woodley hasn’t won a fight since September 2018. He has lost four fights in a row. Those defeats came at the hands of current UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, Colby Covington, and Vicente Luque. Back in April, it was revealed that Woodley is no longer under UFC contract.
