It was reported on the “Savage Dog Show” on Sherdog.com that a reliable source is claiming the fight between Gesias Calvancanti vs. Shinya Aoki is off for the Yarennoka special in Japan on New Year's Eve.
According to the source, the fight was never officially on to begin with and while it isn't officially off yet, there's a good chance that will be announced shortly.
Calvancanti reportedly just underwent surgery and hasn't been able to train for this fight at all, which is just over a week away.
