Details On UFC 82 “Pride Of A Champion” Set For December 27

UFC 82 “Pride of a Champion” will emanate from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on March 1st with a main event of Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson.

It will be the second ever UFC vs. PRIDE title-unification bout, both of which featured Henderson representing the PRIDE championship.

Henderson's first unification bout was at UFC 75 “Champion vs. Champion,” a free-Spike TV presentation from England which saw his opponent – UFC 205 lb. champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson – leave the cage with both titles.

Henderson has been told his whole career that he should be fighting in the 185 lb. Middleweight class, but has for the most-part spent his time in the ring (or cage) fighting bigger guys, and compiling a solid record of wins against top fighters in a division north of his natural fighting weight.

On March 1st, Henderson will have another chance to unify a title as he drops down to 185 lbs. to challenge the seemingly unstoppable UFC Middleweight king – Anderson “The Spider” Silva. The two will fight in the main event of the show, which airs on pay-per view.

Tickets for UFC 82 “Pride of a Champion” go on sale first to the UFC Fight Club members on Thursday, December 27th at 10AM EST. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.com.

No official information has been released yet as to when tickets will go on sale to the general public. As soon as we know, you'll know.
