Eddie Bravo Arrested In U.K., Deported Back To U.S. (Mug Shot Photo Included)

The founder of 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu — Eddie Bravo — failing to comply with the necessary arrangements to head to the United Kingdom to host a seminar, was reportedly arrested and deported back to the United States.

The grappling wizard, best known to MMA fans as the first American to ever submit a Gracie family member when he tapped out Royler Gracie many years back, posted the following tweet about the situation, including a photo of his mug shot.

Additionally, Bravo spoke about the story during a recent edition of his radio show. You can read an excerpt below.

“I decide to show up.. no more lying. I show them my itinerary…” Bravo said on his podcast. Upon his statement immigration requested Bravo’s work visa, which he did not have. He was immediately pulled from the line for interrogation, “They took me right into a detention center in the airport.” After hours of a shared detention with various prostitutes and a restrained criminal Bravo was then brought into an isolated meeting room and told that he was to be deported back to America.

Despite the event Bravo seemed to understand and was optimistic about the whole encounter, “It was good for me. I got a tiny little, little taste of what being imprisoned feels like.”
