Exclusive: Randleman Talks Return With MMANews.com

Chris Howie Reporting:

Earlier today MMANews.com spoke to Kevin “The Monster” Randleman (16-12-0) and he confirmed he is making a return to MMA action.

Randleman has been out of action since October 2006 when he lost via submission to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. Following the fight he was suspended for providing a fake urine sample. He has also been sidelined due to a very serious staph infection that MMANews.com reported on back in November.

“We have an offer on the table to sign with World Victory Road and I have signed a contract with Global Fighting Championships this past Saturday.” stated Randleman. “I'll most likely be back in action in May in Japan and at the end of June in North Carolina.”

Possible opponents being mentioned for his return include former UFC Heavyweight contender Jeff “The Snowman” Monson (24-7-0)when he debuts for GFC and there have a been a few Japanese opponents names thrown around for possible opponents should he sign with WVR. “There was one Japanese guy but when he found out it was me that he would be fighting he pulled out and didn't want it anymore.”

Plagued by injuries recently, Randleman is plans on doing this different this time “I want to learn from my mistakes and not rush back to quick. I'll be taking my time.”

MMANews.com will keep you posted on any new info when it becomes available.
