Fedor Emelianenko To Be Part Of January Affliction Card

NBCSports.com has confirmed that WAMMA Heavyweight Champion and the number one ranked heavyweight in the world, Fedor Emelianenko will be part of the January card that Affliction intends to hold after postponing their October card eariler today.

A straight forward reason has not been given as to why the show had been postponed but representatives from the company have stated that the UFC has put many road blocks in Affliction's path.

The October show was scheduled to take place in Las Vegas on the UFC's turf at the Thomas and Mack Center at UNLV.

Michael D. Cohen, who is the COO of the company has also stated the they will be making a major announcement within the next two weeks that will “change the dynamics of MMA, not just nationally, but globally.”

Who knows what this major announcement could be but it sounds that from the impressive the people at Affliction are giving, postponing the show in October was more a blessing in disguise than what some people thought, as a sign of failure within the company.

Sure it sucks that the show was postponed because they did have a very good card put together, but if they have something up their sleeve that could be as major as they seem to be putting on than maybe it really is for the better.

Only time will tell.
