Two flyweights in need of a strong finish to 2016 will square off at UFC 207, as Louis Smolka meets Ray Borg.
Smolka (11-2) had his four-fight win streak snapped earlier this month at UFC Fight Night 96 in a stunning upset by the debuting Brandon Moreno. Smolka, who has gone 5-2 over his Octagon run, was scheduled to face Sergio Pettis before an injury sidelined Pettis and opened the door for Moreno.
Borg (9-2) has fought five times total for the UFC, posting a 3-2 mark. He had his three-fight win streak come to an end at the hands of Justin Scoggins this past February.
UFC 207 takes place December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Amanda Nunes defends her bantamweight title against Ronda Rousey in the main event.
