Jon Jones, NAC Reach Agreement, Former Champ Suspended One Year

Jon Jones will be allowed to compete again next July after reaching an agreement with the Nevada Athletic Commission.

According to a report by MMA Fighting, Jones and the NAC agreed to a one-year suspension retroactive to July with no fine. The former UFC light heavyweight champion failed a pre-fight drug test prior to his planned UFC 200 main event with Daniel Cormier.

Jones tested positive for two banned substances due to taking a contaminated sexual performance pill.

“Bones” will compete Sunday against Dan Henderson in a grappling match at Submission Underground 2.
