The following is an excerpt from a new interview with Josh Koscheck from BuddyTV.com:
St. Pierre is definitely athletic, strong, skilled…and obviously you’re equally talented. Are there any gaps in St. Pierre ‘s game that you plan on exploiting?
Well, I think he’s definitely one of the best fighters in the UFC, which is well-roundedness. He can strike, he can kick, he can knee, elbow, punch. And he knows wrestling, and he knows jiu-jitsu. So I think that the guy who makes the least amount of mistakes in this fight is the guy who’s going to come out winning. So ultimately the fight is gonna end up on the ground at some point, that’s where my strong point is, and I feel that’s his weakest point. So hopefully if it does end up on the ground, I can take advantage of it. If it stands on the feet, then I’m in for a war. I’ve prepared for that, and I’m ready to fight that type of fight.
Your MMA skills have improved significantly over the last couple of years. What should we expect to see from you in your upcoming match?
I think people that tune in are gonna get to see a different side of me, something I’m gonna bring to the octagon. Every single time I fight, I bring something different, and it’s gonna be the same for this fight. I’m gonna bring something different that fans have not gotten to see from me, so expect it to be an exciting fight.
