JZ Cavalcante Wants Rematch With Joachim Hansen

In an interview with official site for DREAM top ranked lightweight JZ Cavalcante states that he would at some point want a rematch against DREAM Lightweight Grand Prix winner, Joachim “Hellboy” Hansen.

The two fought at a Shooto event in 2004 with Hansen coming out on top via a majority decision. The fight was just the third of JZ's young career.

Hansen would go on to win the Grand Prix in July with a win over Shinya Aoki, who outted Cavalcante from the tournament, after stepping in for an injured Eddie Alvarez as a reserve.

JZ recently had knee surgery and says that it was successful and that his rehab is going well. He will be able to get back to training in about two weeks and will look for a fight with Hansen when he is able to return.

“I've changed so much that I'm a completely different person now. So I'm confident I can beat him so when I come back, I want to challenge Hansen. I'm sure fans would like to see that too.”
