Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal first called out Fedor Emilianenko earlier in January, and now he’s back at it again. In an interview with MMA Junkie, Lawal addressed the criticism that Fedor is fighting “nobodies,” and that King Mo could be a better challenge for him.
“Bellator let me go out there and showcase my skills. So now, I want to do them a favor. I want to help them out by bringing Fedor over here and fighting free on Spike TV,” Lawal told MMA Junkie. “Fedor’s a legend. People want to talk bad about him and say he’s fighting nobodies. But Fedor’s a legend. And me versus Fedor would do numbers.”
Lawal won the Rizin 100kg World Grand Prix championship when he knocked out Jiri Prochazka in the tournament finals of Rizin’s first event. It was his second bout of the night, after fighting just two days earlier as well.
