At the Bellator 131 post-fight press conference on Saturday night, Light Heavyweight contender Muhammed Lawal made his case to be Tito Ortiz’s next opponent inside the Bellator cage.
After defeating Joe Vedepo via TKO, King Mo told Ortiz, who beat Stephan Bonnar by decision in the evening’s main event, that he would “Django his ass” at the post-fight presser.
“Now if you want some, you get some,” Lawal said of Ortiz. “I’m just saying. You fought Bonnar and Bonnar has been gone for two years. That’s fine. I’ll Django your ass. Straight up, Django. I will bust your ass, straight up. I’m serious.”
Ortiz, however, wasn’t too impressed with Mo’s challenge.
“Everyone wants to fight me,” Ortiz said. “Get in line.”
Firing back at Ortiz, Mo claimed that the UFC Hall Of Famer would make excuses about his health to avoid the fight.
“You ain’t going to fight me, I know that,” Lawal said. “You’re going to be, ‘my neck, my back, my knee.'”
