December 15's ICON Sport card in Honolulu, Hawaii, was dealt a crushing blow when “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler had to withdraw from his main event fight due to an arm injury, sources tell Sherdog.com
Lawler tore a tendon in his right arm during training, forcing him to sit on the sidelines without activity for at least six weeks. The EliteXC and ICON Sport middleweight champion was supposed to defend his ICON belt against Hawaiian slugger Kala Kolohe Hose. According to one source, former UFC middleweight title challenger David Loiseau has been discussed as Lawler's replacement.
