Matt “The Hammer” Hamill (6-2) and Brandon “The Truth” Vera (10-3) are set for UFC 101 according to a source close to the event.
Vera bounced back on to the scene after he made quick work of Mike Patt in a TKO due to leg kicks in the 2nd round at UFC 96 in Columbus, Ohio.
Hamill also enjoyed victory at UFC 96, when he KO'd Mark Munoz in the 1st round for his second win in a row.
Contracts have been received and are expected to be signed in the very near future.
