NFL Mocks “Cage Fighting” During Patriots-Giants Big Game
The following are some excerpts of a blog entry from Zach Arnold over at FightOpinion.com:

Arnold's article contined:
However, `cage fighting’ was attacked the most during the ad, with the last actor in the ad asking why cable companies think `cage fighting’ is more popular than the NFL.

This just happened to air during a history setting game as the Patriots became the first NFL team since the 1972 Miami Dolphins (who went 14-0) to go the entire regular season undefeated (the Patriots went 16-0). What was airing opposite this historical gridiron classic? UFC 79 “Nemesis” with “the most anticipated fight in MMA history” between Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva. HBO boxing couldn't help but take a shot at MMA during the biggest prize fight in history earlier in 2007 (Oscar De La Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr.) and now NFL can't seem to keep from doing the same.
It's going to be a great 2008.
