Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Eyes Submission Win Over McKee, Predicts Paul-Woodley

Bellator Featherweight Champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire thinks he will submit AJ McKee.

This Saturday night (July 31), Bellator 263 will emanate from The Forum in Inglewood, California. In the main event, Freire will put his 145-pound gold on the line against McKee. This will also serve as the finals of the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix. The winner will receive a $1 million prize.

During an interview with MMA News‘ own James Lynch, “Pitbull” predicted a submission victory.

“I believe so. He has long arms, long legs … He’s gonna try to put me down, so I’m gonna take his long neck.”

McKee believes that “Pitbull” doesn’t have confidence in his ability to knock him out. Freire had the following to say in response.

“He’s dumb because I’m gonna finish him by guillotine because he’s gonna try to put me on the ground.”

On Aug. 29, YouTube sensation Jake Paul will take on former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley in a boxing match. Freire explained why he thinks Paul will win the bout.

“I think Jake Paul is spending more hours training boxing than Tyron Woodley. Tyron Woodley fought in MMA for many years, so it’s a different sport. I think Jake Paul is gonna shock the world again. He’s young, he’s training boxing with professionals. He’s not just talking, he’s training for real. I believe in that, let’s see.”

When asked if a win over McKee would make him the best featherweight in MMA today, “Pitbull” had the following to say.

“For sure, but I don’t think about that. I just think about breaking records, defending my belt, and win.”
