Anders Dahl sent along the following:
I wanted to share with you an exclusive UFC 72 interview that BuddyTV did with MMA fighter Dustin Hazelett that was just published on our site. Here’s the link to the interview and a short excerpt below: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/ufc/exclusive-interview-dustin-haz-7304.aspx.
BuddyTV: You know, UFC 72 is taking place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, you know, Stevie Lynch’s hometown. What are your thoughts about fighting him in his hometown and how do you feel about it?
Dustin Hazelett: It’s never great to fight somebody in their hometown, you know. When they first told me they wanted me on the Ireland card I was like “Oh that’s great.” I have Irish heritage so it’ll be really cool to go there you know, and they’re real loyal to the automatic fan base, you know. And then they were like, “We want you to fight this guy from Northern Ireland.” And I’m like, “Aw! Well that’s Great.” You know, I’ve fought hometown guys before so.
BuddyTV: Cool. So what can fans really expect to see when you step foot on the Octagon come June 16th?
Dustin Hazelett: Well I’m one of those fighters, I go out there to win the fight, I don’t go out…you see some fighters who just go out there and do what they have to do to win. I’m one of the fighters who goes out there from the first bell and tries to finish the fight so no matter where it ends up, on the ground or standing, it should be pretty interesting.
Feel free to post and share this with your fans if you think they might enjoy! We have several other UFC 72 interviews that we’ll be publishing later today and the rest of this week which include interviews with Forrest Griffin, Ed Herman, Rory Singer, and Tyson Griffen. Stay tuned!
