Bodog Poker Players to Battle Bodog Fighters for Prizes in New Monthly Tournament Series
“Bodog Fight Challenge Poker Tournament Series” Kicks Off with First Tournament on Thursday, August 9, at 8:05 pm EST; Series' Grand Prize Includes Trip for Two and Tickets to a Bodog Fight Event.
BODOG.COM – Imagine going up against a mixed-martial arts fighter knowing that he wants to beat you, badly. Now imagine having the skill to turn the tables on him and send him home without so much as a scratch. This is how it could go down for you in the “Bodog Fight Challenge Poker Tournament Series,” a new monthly tournament series where Bodog Poker players have the chance to face down Bodog Fighters on their own terms, across the virtual felt of an online poker table.
The Bodog Fight Challenge Poker Tournament Series consists of six qualifying tournaments held monthly from August 9 to January 17, 2008, each with a buy-in of just $5.00 + .50. The series will culminate in a final tournament on January 31, 2008, with prizes ranging from a Plasma TV to the grand prize of a trip for two to a Bodog Fight event. Bodog Fighters will be among the players competing in these tournaments, and entrants will be able to distinguish fighters from regular players by their special fight avatar.
The top 30% of finishers in each of the six qualifying tournament will earn points based on place finished, with the top six in each event receiving prizes such as autographed Bodog Fight Gloves and Bodog Fight “swag bags.” The points will then be used to rank players over the six months of qualifying tournaments via a tournament leader board.
At the end of the series, the top 30% of players with points on the leader board (excluding fighters) will compete in a final tournament to be held on January 31, 2008. The Grand Prize for the final tournament is a trip for two and tickets to a Bodog Fight or Bodog sponsored event and Bodog Fight gear valued at $5,000. Other prizes for the top five include a Plasma TV and a custom Bodog Poker table.
