After winning the DREAM Middleweight Grand Prix las week, Gegard Mousasi has told Fighters Only Magazine that he could be facing Vitor Belfort in middleweight action and that his training partner, heavyweight king Fedor Emelianenko could be facing Josh Barnett:
“I’m going to train with Fedor in preparation for Affliction in January,” he said. “I think it is Fedor against Josh Barnett and they want me to fight Vitor Belfort.”
Hard to say what the plans could be at this time but they are two blockbuster bouts that people would want to see. Fedor vs. Barnett has been a fight the hardcore audience has been clamouring for for years since back in the Pride days.
