Scheduled UFC 76 Bout Scrapped Due To Injury

The following is an excerpt from a new UFCJunkie.com article:

A planned UFC 76 undercard fight between Jeremy Stephens (9-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and Nate Mohr (8-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) will not take place at the Sept. 22 event because of an injury suffered by Mohr during the past week.

UFCjunkie.com (www.ufcjunkie.com) today confirmed the news with sources close to both fighters.

Mohr suffered a possible broken hand, and while he was optimistic the injury would be healed in time for UFC 76, he ultimately had to decline the fight, a source close to the fighter says.

Additionally, according to a source close to Stephens, the 21-year-old fighter still has been promised a spot on the card. The UFC is on the search for a new opponent.
