Calvancanti vs. Ribeiro set for Yokohama

Defending HERO'S 154-pound tournament champion Gesias Calvancanti squares off against fellow Brazilian Vitor Ribeiro in the semifinals of the Japanese organization's card on September 17 at the Yokohama Arena.
In the other semifinal, Caol Uno, who was defeated by Calvancanti at last year's tournament final by majority decision, will face Canadian Kultar Gill. This is a rematch of a year ago when Uno defeated Gill by a rear-naked choke in the semifinals.
Ralek Gracie is also on the card after making his MMA debut at the last HERO'S event in July. He forced a submission with an armbar on the inexperienced Katsuyori Shibata in the first round.
Gracie squares off against Japan's Ikuhisa “The Punk” Minowa, who has more than 60 fights on his ledger.
The 31-year-old Minowa has fought a “Who's Who” of top-flight fighters in his 10-year career and is 6-2 over the past two years.
Since the Ultimate Fighting Championship's takeover of PRIDE, HERO'S has become the organization many top Japanese fighters have flocked to.
