MIXED MARTIAL ARTS CHAMP TITO ORTIZ TO BE A PRESENTER AT THE 4TH ANNUAL PREMIOS FOX SPORTS AWARDS SHOW
LOS ANGELES — (December 6, 2006) — Tito Ortiz, one of the world’s most popular and colorful martial arts competitors, will be a presenter at the 4th Annual Premios Fox Sports Awards Show December 14th at the Jackie Gleason Theater of Performing Arts in Miami Beach.
Ortiz will take time off from training to attend the event. He is currently getting ready for his upcoming battle against UFC World Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell on December 30th at the MGM Grand Hotel Las Vegas.
“I’m very proud of my Hispanic heritage and it’s terrific to be part of an event that honors outstanding athletes from all sports and all walks of life,” said Ortiz. “All of these competitors have shown what you can do with a combination of skill, dedication, hard work and lots of heart. It is an honor for me to be among them.”
The Premios Fox Sports Awards Show is a star-studded, black-tie event held before an audience of 2,500. It will reach a viewing audience of more than 27-million throughout North and South America when it is aired on December 17th by Fox Sports en Espanol.
Among Hispanic celebrities who will be presenters at the Premios event are baseball legend Orlando Cepeda; boxing standouts Marco Antonio, Miguel Cotto, Alexis Arguello, Hector “Macho” Camacho, Julio Cesar Chavez; soccer stars Oswaldo Sanchez, Diego La Torre, Jaime Moreno and Miguel Calero; car racing champs Adrian Fernandez and Helio Castroneves; golfer Valeria Ochoa and NFL star Martin Grammatica.
