Dana White said earlier this month that the UFC was working on a rematch between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort, and it now appears the match has been officially booked.
Jornal O Globo reports that Silva vs. Belfort 2 will take place On March 5 at UFC 197. The event will be held at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. UFC has yet to confirm the news, but they are expected to make an announcement soon.
This will be Anderson Silva’s first fight since January, after he was suspended for testing positive for the steroid Drostanolone. Belfort is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Dan Henderson at UFC Fight Night 77 in early November.
Silva and Belfort last fought each other in 2011, when Silva won by knockout in the first round.
