TUF 22 Finale Medical Suspensions: Mendes Out Until 1/26, Edgar Not Suspended

The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale took place on December 11th at the The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, and the medical suspensions from the event have officially been announced.

Top featherweight contender Frankie Edgar was not suspended at all, but some of the more notable suspensions include Chad Mendes who will be out until the end of January, and Tony Ferguson who will be out until February 10th. The event was headlined by Edgar vs. Mendes, while Ryan Hall vs. Artem Lobov was billed as the co-main event.

Here’s the full list of medical suspensions from the event:

Chad Mendes: Suspended until 01/26/16 and no contact until 01/11/16.

Tony Ferguson: Must have CT scan of head or no contest until 06/11/16. Minimum suspension and no contest until 02/10/16 – no contact until 01/26/16 for lacerations.

Edson Barboza: Suspended until 01/26/16 and no contact until 01/11/16 for 2 scalp lacerations on forehead.

Evan Dunham: Suspended until 01/26/16 and no contact until 01/11/16 for laceration over right eyebrow.

Joe Lauzon: Suspended until 01/11/16 and no contact until 01/02/16.

Tatsuya Kawajiri: Suspended until 01/11/16 and no contact until 01/02/16.

Jason Knight: Suspended until 02/10/16 and no contact until 01/26/16 for laceration left cheek.

Konstantin Erokhin: Suspended until 01/11/16 and no contact until 01/02/16 for left thumb injury.

Ryan LaFlare: Must have right hand/thumb x-ray to rule out fracture, if results are positive needs Orthopedic Dr. clearance or no contest until 06/11/16. Minimum suspension and no contest until 01/11/16. No contact until 01/02/16.

Mike Pierce: Suspended until 01/26/16 and no contact until 01/11/16.

Joby Sanchez: Suspended until 01/26/16 and no contact until 01/11/16 for lacerations under right eye and over left eyebrow.

Chris Gruetzemacher: Must have left & right forearms cleared by Dr. or no contest until 06/11/16. Minimum suspension and no contest until 01/11/16 No contact until 01/02/16.

Abner Lloveras: Suspended until 02/10/16 and no contact until 01/26/16 for laceration over right upper eye lid.
