Alexis Dufresne Released From UFC

Following Tuesday’s house cleaning, where five fighters were cut from the UFC roster, another competitor has been released from the promotion.

Alexis Dufresne (5-2), a 25-year old Women’s MMA Bantamweight prospect, has been officially released from the UFC after a one-sided loss to Marion Reneau at UFC 182 and a history of failing to make weight on multiple occasions.

Dufresne signed with the promotion after demolishing Kim Couture in just 45 seconds in a 150-pound fight in Mexico.

She failed to cut down to the 135-pound Women’s Bantamweight limit in the UFC for both of her Octagon fights, weighing in at 143 pounds for her decision loss to Sarah Moras at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale, and 138 pounds for the aforementioned loss to Reneau earlier this month.
