During a recent radio appearance, UFC Heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem recently explained why he feels current WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will not be returning to the UFC.
Overeem, who defeated Lesnar in Lesnar’s final MMA bout back at UFC 141 and subsequently challenged him to return to UFC to fight him in a rematch after defeating Frank Mir at UFC 169 last year, spoke about the Lesnar/UFC return rumors during an appearance on MMA Junkie Radio. The Demolition man said,
“To be honest, he is not going to come back. He remembers in the beginning it was easy, but at the end it was very hard for him,” Overeem continued. “He is a guy that kind of goes where it’s easy.”
Overeem concluded, “He’s not going to come back. It’s too hard. The competition is too stiff.”
Alistair Overeem makes his Octagon return this Saturday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, where he is set to challenge fellow UFC Heavyweight contender Roy “Big Country” Nelson.
