Former UFC and WEC fighter Kamal Shalorus is the latest on the growing list of MMA fighters looking to make the transition from mixed-martial-arts to professional wrestling.
Shalorus (9-4-2) joins Phil Baroni, who is training with former WWE wrestlers, and Matthew Riddle, who is also training with former well-known pro wrestlers to try and make the transition.
Shalorus, who was a teenage national wrestling champion, has some factors working in his favor, such as having a good physique, something that is always a plus in the world of pro wrestling, however he has a lot of negatives, such as his age (37) and the fact that he’s a smaller guy, having fought most of his MMA career in the lightweight (155-pound) division.
