Michael Bisping won’t make excuses, but during the UFC Fight Night 55 post-fight press conference he did mention that he didn’t remember anything about the fight after an accidental headbutt in the first round of his loss to Luke Rockhold on Friday night.
“I’ve got to be careful about how I word this, because he beat me fair and square,” said Bisping, “but I can’t really remember anything after the headbutt, to be honest. But that’s the way it goes.”
Bisping continued, “We’re in there and we’re punching and we’re kicking, and heads clash. I doubt it was intentional. But it certainly did affect things.”
While the loss to Rockhold killed any momentum he had built up, Bisping insists that he’s going to continue to pursue his dream inside the Octagon.
“I still love what I do,” said Bisping. “I still love this. I’m a fighter, I’ll always be a fighter. As long as there’s a beat in my heart, I’ll still fight. I love doing this.”
