Although Dana White was not at the UFC 194 post-fight press conference, he did appear for a few minutes on the official UFC 194 post fight show on FOX Sports 1 and commented on the stunning outcome of both title fights on Saturday evening.
Former UFC Middleweight contender Brian Stann asked White if he has ever seen someone as unique as Conor McGregor who has accomplished as much as he has in such a short amount of time.
“No,” said a smiling UFC President. “No, I’ve never seen it. You know, Charlie Hunnam from ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ was here tonight and he said to me in the back, ‘That kid walked out a star tonight, and then went back into his locker room a superstar.'”
White agreed.
“And it’s absolutely true,” said White. “Conor McGregor is a very unique individual in that he has this …he eats pressure for breakfast. That kid eats pressure like nobody I’ve ever seen in my life.”
The UFC boss continued, “He rolled out there tonight smiling. The whole time he was in the Octagon while Jose was walking out, he was yelling out to people outside the cage. He was in there doing this thing, warming up. It’s like, ‘Eh I’m in the gym and it’s just another day.'”
White continued, “When you find somebody like that that can speak the way that he does and he’s so quick-witted and super talented and can just handle the pressure — that’s all the ingredients of a superstar.”
