Apparently Dana White and the UFC have caught wind of the recent rumors of Wanderlei Silva returning to the MMA fighting world and have tried to put a stop to it, something that “The Axe Murderer” isn’t exactly pleased to hear.
Following the rumors that Silva would return to fight Phil Baroni in Japan, and rumors of Silva vs. Chael Sonnen in Brazil, the former PRIDE king must have heard from White and the UFC, as he posted this defiant tweet on Monday afternoon:
Escravidão agora????? Como assim, nao posso trabalhar entao Dana? Vc nao manda em mim, luto onde eu quiser!O Q é seu ta guardado ja chega!
— Wanderlei Silva (@wandfc) November 3, 2014
Through Google translator, the following is Silva’s comment in English:
“Slavery now ????? As well, I can not work then Dana ? U do not own me , I fight where I want!”
Outside of the fact that he is facing what amounts to a lifetime ban from the state of Nevada, Silva is reportedly still under a UFC contract and for those who remember the Randy Couture situation several years ago, the chances of White and UFC letting him out of that deal, especially when he’s been speaking so kindly of them as of late, are slim to none.
