Dana White weighed in on the controversial judges’ decision at UFC 195 by saying he would have scored Carlos Condit as the victor over Robbie Lawler on Saturday.
At the post-fight press conference after UFC 195 in Las Vegas, the UFC President explained why he would have scored Condit higher if he was a judge. Here’s what he had to say:
“I had it 3 to 2 Condit,” White said. “But I’m not a judge, so nobody probably gives a sh*t what I think. That’s how I had it. “
“It depends how you score that third round. Lawler was winning that round early and then kind of shut down and didn’t do much the rest of the third round,” White said.
“I think that Robbie did what Robbie needed to do in the fifth round,” White said. “He needed to get that fire lit under his ass. Both guys made it one of the best rounds you’ll ever see anywhere, in any fight. Both guys were toe to toe, blasting each other. Robbie did what he needed to do to win that fight.”
UFC 195 aired Saturday, January 2nd from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This was the UFC’s first event of the year.
