After weighing in on the outcome of UFC 193 last month, Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump is back with his reaction to this past weekend’s UFC 194 pay-per-view, and it could be argued that it’s just as strange.
Trump infamously wrote the following on Twitter after watching Ronda Rousey get knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November.
“Glad to see that Ronda Rousey lost her championship fight last night. Was soundly beaten – not a nice person!”
The negative comment is believed to be related to Rousey’s comments before the fight about backing Bernie Sanders for President over Trump.
Following UFC 194, which saw Conor McGregor knock out Jose Aldo in the main event to become the new undisputed UFC Featherweight Champion, Trump took to Twitter again to congratulate UFC President Dana White on the progress the UFC has made since “those difficult early days.”
“Dana White, great job last night – very exciting! You have come a long way from those difficult early days, I am proud of you.”
While Trump’s post-UFC 194 comments aren’t as headline-provoking as his UFC 193 comments were, they are still odd considering the fact that McGregor said “Donald can shut his big, fat mouth” just three weeks ago before adding, “I don’t give a f*ck about Donald Trump.”
