Early UFC 174 PPV Buys The Lowest In Years

According to a recent MMAFighting.com article, the early estimates for UFC 174, which featured a UFC Flyweight Championship match between Demetrious Johnson and Ali Bagautinov as the main event, have the show drawing between 95,000 and 115,000 pay-per-view buys.

A separate estimate, released by Yahoo! Sports, claims that the show drew 125,000 buys on pay-per-view.

Regardless, the UFC 174 pay-per-view number would mark the lowest number for a UFC PPV since the UFC 163 show, which featured Jose Aldo vs. “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung for the UFC Featherweight Championship. That show is believed to have drawn approximately 180,000 buys on pay-per-view.
