Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Augusto Sakai in a heavyweight bout brought a slugfest in their fight.
The showdown served as the main event of the UFC Vegas 28 event on Saturday night (June 5, 2021) from Las Vegas, Nevada at the UFC Apex facility.
As seen in the fight, it didn’t last long. They had a feeling out process in the early going with a lot of leg kicks being thrown. It looked like the first round was going to close out, but Rozenstruik clipped him with a big left hook then right hand. This caused Sakai to drop. Rozenstruik finished him on the ground with strikes for the win
This was an important contest for both guys. Sakai entered his previous fight on a five fight winning streak with four of those in the UFC while Rozenstruik had been trying to rebound. He had picked up a 10 fight losing streak, but then Francis Ngannou. After that he knocked out Junior Dos Santos in seconds before losing yet again to Ciryl Gane via decision.
