Out of nowhere, the lineup for the UFC 186 pay-per-view card in Montreal, Quebec, Canada got stacked.
Announced this weekend for the show, which takes place on April 25th at the Bell Centre, is a title fight main event, a title eliminator co-main event, and a pair of exciting contender bouts.
UFC 186 will be headlined by the UFC Bantamweight Championship rematch between current champion T.J. Dillashaw and former champion Renan Barao.
Dillashaw handed Barao his first loss in 28-straight fights back in May to become the new 135-pound champion of the UFC. On 4/25 in Montreal, Dillashaw will look to prove his dominant performance against one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport was no fluke.
The main event in the building on April 25th will no doubt be the UFC Welterweight Championship title eliminator bout between Montreal’s favorite son (now that Georges St-Pierre is out of the picture), Rory MacDonald, and highly-regarded contender Hector Lombard.
It was announced earlier this week that plans for a third title bout between current 170-pound champion Robbie Lawler and Johny Hendricks have been put on hold for now, as Hendricks will instead fight Matt Brown in another fight that could be a title eliminator, depending on who looks the most impressive coming out of their respective fights.
Also scheduled for UFC 186 is the return of MMA legend Quinton Jackson, as the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion will look to make his Octagon return a success when he meets durable challenger Fabio Maldonado.
Finally, after a pair of setbacks to Luke Rockhold and Lyoto Machida, respectively, Michael Bisping and C.B. Dollaway will look to return to the win column and climb the UFC Middleweight ranks as they square off against each other in an exciting undercard bout.
