Francisco Trevino has been suspended for 90 days after testing positive for marijuana. Trevino lost to Sage Northcutt at UFC 192 on October 3rd, and MMAFighting.com has revealed that after the event he tested positive for marijuana.
The Texas Combative Sports Program claims that Trevino had 69 ng/ml of marijuana metabolites in his system, which is above the Texas limit of 50 ng/ml. He could also be fined up for $5,000.
If the test had taken place in Nevada, he wouldn’t have tested positive nor been suspended. The legal limit in Nevada is 150 ng/ml.
Trevino stirred controversy after the fight when he pushed referee Herb Dean, after being finished by Northcutt in the first round.
Prior to joining UFC, Trevino had an undefeated record of 10-0. In the UFC he’s 1-2.
