Hunt On Werdum’s BJJ: “I Hit ‘Em In The Head And There Goes Your F*cking Black Belt”

After making it clear that he doesn’t take any advice from “f*ckin’ putos,” Mark Hunt also made it a point to inform fans how he’s going to deal with Fabricio Werdum’s elite submission skills when the two battle for the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 180 in November.

“Well everyone’s a world class ground fighter until they get a punch to the face. So that’s how I deal with all these ground fighters like everyone else. I hit ’em in the head and there goes your F**king black belt,” said Hunt during a recent Submission Radio interview.

So, that covers the ground game. How does Hunt feel about Werdum’s improving stand up skills?

“Well I don’t know,” said Hunt. “I know his game will be to push the pace to try and get me tried, to try and shoot the take down so I’m on the ground, you know what I mean? It’s the same thing. If he tries to stand and bang, well then good for me. If he doesn’t, then he’s gotta work his game plan. So I feel I’ve got an advantage on all angles, so you know it’s nothing new to me.”

As far as a prediction for the fight, Hunt seems pretty confident he’s going to add another name to his highlight reel, as he boldly predicted a “first round walk away knock out.”
