Fresh off of his dominant victory over Joe Lauzon at this past Saturday night’s UFC 183 pay-per-view, rising UFC Lightweight contender Al Iaquinta has already signed up for his next Octagon assignment.
Iaquinta (11-3-1) will meet Jorge Masvidal (29-8) in the co-main event of the upcoming UFC Fight Night 63 event in Fairfax, Virginia.
Masvidal was originally scheduled to meet former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson on the card, however when Stephen Thompson went down with an injury, “Smooth” Benson agreed to move up to the UFC Welterweight division to meet Brandon Thatch in the main event of UFC Fight Night 62.
Also added to the UFN 63 event, which will air during the afternoon on FOX Sports 1 on April 4th, is an intriguing UFC Lightweight contest which features former title contender Gray Maynard (11-4-1, 1 NC) welcoming Alexander Yakovlev (21-6-1) to the 155-pound weight division.
Headlined by Chad Mendes vs. Ricardo Lamas, UFC Fight Night 63 takes place on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, airing live on FOX Sports 1, with the main card starting at 1pm EST. / 10am PST.
