UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones is reportedly close to a sponsorship deal with shoe and apparel company Reebok.
According to Ariel Helwani on the latest edition of UFC Tonight on FOX Sports 1, the consensus pound for pound king of MMA is in talks with Reebok and other top names, however Reebok is said to be in the lead.
Jones was previously sponsored by Reebok rival Nike, however he lost that sponsorship as a result of his brawl with Daniel Cormier at the MGM Grand in eaely August.
If Jones reaches a deal with Reebok, he will become one of three current UFC Champions to partner with the brand, as UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis has a deal with Reebok, as does UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks.
Jones fights Cormier in the main event of UFC 182 on January 3, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
